ON MY WAY / TOKYO!

Getting on the plane today to Tokyo! Super excited! This is going to be such a culture shock. Will be taking loads of photos to show you when I’m back. In the mean time follow my Instagram for some live updates while I’m in this crazy city! See you there. ;)

PS: I definitely can use some tips on shopping, must see’s, food, etc!

haha! I’m actually in Tokyo right now for a month, visiting my extended family. There’s so much to do and see it’s unbelievable! I spend a month out of every year here, and awesome shopping destinations include Shibuya (Shibuya-109 with 9 floors of fashion, Parco-1, Parco-3, Marui JAM, and the As Know As flagship store are great places to visit), Harajuku (LaForet Harajuku mall, Topshop, the Takeshita-doori street shops), and the stores along the main street of Omotesando are a must-see for high-priced designer fashion. A lot of people also like Ginza as a shopping district; for me it’s too pricey and I tend to stick to Western Tokyo. Definitely try a crepe from a crepe stand at Harajuku or Shibuya – soooo good!

Who knows, I might run into you!!

    Have a great trip!

If you have time, you should head to Kyoto! Kyoto is a charming, beautiful cultural city, much different to ever-so-busy Tokyo. Strolling around Arashiyama is my personal favourite, and I regretted I didn’t spend more time in Kyoto!

I don’t have much shopping tips, but just bear in mind that train can be extremely crowded during the peak hour (I think it’s around 5-7pm?) and Harajuku/Ginza/Shibuya area will be extremely crowded during weekend as well! Harajuku can gets interesting with some random cosplayers, though.

Safe flight and have fun (I don’t doubt you will) there! :D
